I was laid off from my job of 11 years on April 14th. It's a fear-inducing change. I want to make the best of this situation while I search for new work. So, I'm tracking my progress and sharing my discoveries over the next 98 days of severance pay. With common sense, humor, patience, and guts, I endeavor to act on John Ruskin's philosophy:
